The Department of Children’s Diseases with a course of Neonatology has the necessary staff potential to carry out research work: 5 doctors of Medical Sciences (Boranbayeva R.Z., Tashenova G.T., Bozhbanbayeva N.S., Seisebayeva R.Zh., Sarbasova Zh.O.,.), 8 candidates of medical sciences (Baigazieva G.Zh., Azhakhmetova M.Z., Nurgalieva Zh., Karimkhanova A.T., Tulebayeva A.B., Bazarbayeva A.A., Marshalkina T.V., Abdilova G.K.), 6 masters in the direction of “Medicine” (Sagimova R.Sh., Manasbayeva A.E., Onalbayeva B.Zh., Shim V.R., Zhetpisbayeva N.K., Atantayeva Zh.G.). The Department of Pediatric Diseases with a neonatology course is located on the basis of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery JSC, which is the main methodological, scientific, practical and advisory center for childhood in the republic and coordinates the work of the entire pediatric service in the regions. The teaching staff of the department actively conducts research jointly at NCPiDH JSC within the framework of the scientific and technical program “Introduction of personalized and preventive medicine in the Republic of Kazakhstan” (scientific supervisor, MD Boranbayeva R.Z.), within the framework of the intra-university grant “New methods of forecasting, prevention and methods of correction of necrotic enterocolitis in premature infants in Almaty” (scientific supervisor, MD Boranbayeva R.Z.), “Development of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive measures in newborns with congenital heart defects born from mothers with COVID-19” (scientific director, MD Bozhbanbayeva N.S.), “The state of cellular immunity and intestinal microbiome in patients with COVID-19 when using Saumal” (executive officer, PhD Nurgalieva Zh.Zh.). The results and achievements of the research work of the teaching staff of the department are actively being implemented in practical healthcare.
